2012-09-21 20:00:00Doom will be broadcasted as part of the video Doom by Dorianne Wotton for the opening of the experimental exhibition space at the virtual art gallery Gloria Heldmound.
Gloria Heldmound is an experimental exhibition space because it is defined by the work of the artists involved in the project. A site created for the virtual exploration of contemporary art beyond the limits of dimension or time.
The seasons open on september 21st with 3 exhibitions:

About "El dolor de la lucidez" (a text by Jaime Rodriguez, curator of the part of the exhibition where our work is displayed):
Creator are provocatives, nonconformists by nature, but not for pleasure, fun or fame. All artists are part of this exhibition because they firmly believe in what they say, because they care much about what you think, and because their art is based on a rich intellectual, cultural and emotional background perfectly controlled, which allows them, through video, to go further than most.
They come so close to the thin line defining the essence of life that reality becomes disappointing.
At first glance, the thought and work of each of these artists can be repulsive because of the hardness with which each of them expressed himself. It seems at first that we may be dealing here with people who can only feel contempt or hatred. But looking with an open mind, we note that their works show us a reality very close but yet neglected, and ultimately despised. It is therefore a series of video creations which have a negative view of our environment. These are "fragile" pieces of art because each is a real experience, too real, too intense or too painful.
This exhibition can be understood as a desire to show a chaotic and "dehumanized" reality. Besides a few scenes of everyday and public life of a man who expresses his thoughts through gestures (“My Hailstorm” by Gavin Owens), another work shows that the principles of identity can sometimes be shocking, sometimes critical, but always politically incorrect (“Tiritas” by María Pérez Gil). A third draws us with an incredible passion into a nightmare of dementia (“Taxidermia para principiantes” by Sofía Santaclara – Performer: Tamara Norniella) and finally, the last work shows us the unconscious diving into otherness of whom despises reality (“Doom” by Dorianne Wotton – Music: Gêhïks Exomène).
This exhibition shows the discouragement in a way that often dissolves the object of study, but making it more human, more real. This is a picture of reality that constantly undermines our hopes with the most cynical indifference.

Ce samedi 07 septembre 2012 à partir de 19h30 à la Trappe aux Étoiles, galerie/boutique tellement géniale que je vous en ai déjà parlé, aura lieu le vernissage d'une exposition où Sophie Boss présentera sa superbe série de photos Waterdropped.
"Le premier pas signe le plongeon.
Waterdropped, l’homme en goutte d’eau dans les méandres de ses désirs contradictoires, de sa propre histoire. Les souvenirs, les petites peurs qu’on enterre, qu’on étouffe, les voilà qui se déversent sur vos épaules.
Il faut du cran pour faire ce grand saut, regarder son propre visage brouillé par les ondes. Couper pour quelques minutes celles du dehors et ce dans l’espoir que l’air d’après sera d’autant plus pur. Accepter autour de soi une bulle aussi intime et introspective."
J'aurais le plaisir d'y diffuser un mix de mes morceaux instrumentaux. Mais de toute façon j'y serai allé quand même tant la série me plaît et parce que les vernissages à la Trappe sont toujours de super fêtes.

Saturday sept. 7th from 7.30 PM will be held the opening party for the exhibition "Waterdropped" by the photographer Sophie Boss in the amazing gallery la Trappe aux Étoiles, where I had the chance to display the Sinæsizer.
Even though I wouldn't have mixed some of my music for this party, I would go since I really like the set "Waterdropped" and since opening parties at la Trappe are always wild!!!

This is the summer of our great content
2012-07-31 23:59:59This is the summer of our great content for Dorianne Wotton and me since my synaesizer is displayed in Le Dressing a video art device in Free'P'Star in Paris.
Le Dressing displays one piece of video art every month and we've been chosen for july!
Insomnia, by the synaesizer will be displayed on a large screen 24/7 and the sound can be enjoyed through a loudspeaker outside the shop and through headphones inside from noon to 9 PM. It is the last time you can see this version of the synæsizer since I will rebuild it completely for the next exhibtion: "Les ombres inconscientes".
By the way, it is located in one of the most lovely area of Paris, so drop by when you're visiting.
So let's celebrate summer now!

Spanish Caravan
2012-05-18 13:55:44Like I did when the synæsizer was displayed in California, I announce a new exhibition with another song title. Spanish caravan by The Doors this time...
It is a double reference since the Spoken worms will be displayed in Spain (obviously) at the gallery TEXU along with other works by Dorianne Wotton (who is the images of my sounds or vice versa) from may 21st to june 16th. This exhibition is called "Ar(t)berrations graphiques".

Yep, here it is! You probably noticed that this song contains a reference to "L'Asturias" by Isaac Albèniz, and where is the gallery located in Spain????

C'était un tel plaisir de passer un moment avec vous la dernière fois que les Spoken Worms ont décidé de remettre ça très vite avec leur poésie audiovisuelle industrielle.
On revient donc le 17 mars avec un set complet depuis notre tout premier morceau: Chasteté (qu'on n'a pas joué depuis longtemps) jusqu'à notre tout nouveau morceau inédit à ce jour. Dorianne Wotton a même préparé des expériences visuelles pour ponctuer le set.
Le concert aura lieu dans le cadre de la soirée IRL performances du mois de mars où vous pourrez aussi voir les Textures de Pierre Warnecke et Boundary particulars de Bjarni Gunnarsson & Cedric Dupire. Demandez le programme! et inscrivez-vous à l'évènement FB.
La soirée aura lieu le 17 mars à partir de 20h30 au centre Mercœur (M° Voltaire, Charonne et Philippe-Auguste) à Paris. La PAF est de 5€ et le prix des consos défie toute concurrence ;)
We had such fun playing our music for you the last time that the Spoken Worms wanted to set up a new audivisual industrial poetry performance quickly.
So, we're back in Paris on March 17 for the next IRL performances party with two other audiovisual performances.
We will play our full set from our very first piece "Chasteté" to the latest and yet unreleased track. Dorianne Wotton also prepared some visual experiments to complement the show.
The party will be held 4, rue Mercœur in Paris on March 17th 2012 from 8.30 pm CET. You can join the facebook event.

Going to California...
2012-02-08 13:46:47Though I love Led Zeppelin, I won't talk about them here. I'm talking about the synæsizer who is actually going to California in april.
It will be displayed at Stanford university during the Linux Audio Conference 2012 in the Listening room of the CCRMA. That means, you will be totally immersed in the sound thanks to the 22 speakers surround system.
So you really should go and enjoy my synesthetic experience generator through databending in such exceptional conditions... just imagine the following film on a big screen with 22 speakers ;)
It's only for 3 days: April 12-15 2012.

Synesthétique de la désolation
2012-01-07 19:30:00"Synesthétique de la désolation" or Syn-æsthetic of desolation is the name of my next exhibtion with Dorianne Wotton that will be held in Paris in from january 7th to february 10th 2012 at la trappe aux étoiles.
Syn-æsthetic of desolation because we will display works using the æsthetic we defined together and our new tries and experiments in digital art using databending and generativity.
Dorianne will show pictures from her set "Vision désaturées" while the synæsizer will turn them into sounds and movies.
There will be various performances on the opening night on january 7th from 19:30, I hope you'll join us :)
